About (Nico Engelbrecht & Zac Louw, partners of Eikestad Dental/lab owners)
Eikestad Dental is situated between the beautiful mountains and vineyards in Technopark just outside Stellenbosch. This dental laboratory was established in 2011 and service dentists,prostodontists + maxillofacial & oral surgeons in and around the Western Cape, other provinces of South Africa and other countries in the world such as England, Nertherlands etc. Eikestad Dental is a business that is run by two qualified Dental Technologists, Zac and Nico that is in partnership with each other. They come from different backgrounds, were Zac mostly specialized in plastics and porcelian work and was situated in Stellenbosch, whilst Nico specialized in implantology and porcelian work and was situated in Durbanville.
Nico Engelbrecht (partner of Eikestad Dental/lab owner)
Nico was born in Durbanville and went school in Durbanville Primary, then left for Boland Agricaltural High school until 1993 and matriculated at Durbanville High School in 1995. In 1996 he worked at F.K Dental Laboratory for a period of 2 years as a general technician. In 1998 he went abroad where he obtained more experience in the dental profession. In 2000 he returned to South Africa where he worked for Athol Charlton at True Art Dental for a year and then also worked for Barnie van der Walt at Vectris Dental for a year. In 2002 he started his degree in Dental Technology, where he qualified in 2005 at Cape Peninsula University of Technology as a Dental Technologist. After his studies he was then employed at F.K. Dental again for a period of 6 years where he broadend his knowledge in implantology and crown and bridge work. In 2010 he decided to start his own business with Zac and Eikestad Dental was set into motion until it opened its doors in November 2011. Hobbies: Bodyboarding, hiking , fishing, gardening & relaxing, enjoying family time with wife, Susan and daughter, Sune.
Zac Louw (partner of Eikestad Dental/lab owner)
Zac was born in George and matriculated at Outeniqua High in 2001. In 2002 he started his degree in dental technology, where he qualified in 2005 at Cape Peninsula University of Technology as a Dental Technologist. After his studies he moved to Stellenbosch where he worked for Danie Baard at Dental Techniques for a period of 6 years where he specialized in plastics, orthodontics and crown and bridge work. In 2010 he decided to start his own business with Nico and Eikestad Dental opened in November 2011. Hobbies: Surfing, collecting, pruining & etc. bonsai collection, walking with his 4 dogs in the mountains, fishing, gardening and relaxing & enjoying family time with wife Anmarie and son, Luca.
